SP Approves Municipalities’ Requests For Financial Assistance To Various Projects

Maasin City, Southern Leyte-The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has approved during its recent session at the Provincial Capitol here the total amount of P213, 000.00 as financial assistance to various projects in different municipalities of the province.
The aforesaid amount was in response to their respective districts’ requests represented by 4 SP members from their constituents thru their LGU officials.
These cover the municipalities of Macrohon, Padre Burgos, Bontoc, Sogod, Libagon, Liloan, San Francisco, San Ricardo, St.Benard, Hinunangan and Maasin City.
The different projects involve the rehabilitation of drainage surfacing and canal lining, construction of new reservoir, renovation of chapels, completion of barangay hall, purchase of water pump for the new government center, construction of Kawayan Waterworks and Sanitation(KARWASA)office, installation of street lighting, river control, child feeding program, improvement/cementing of barangay road,purhase of relocation site, purchase of assorted sports equipment for SK,program for clean and green, purchase of SK basketball uniform,constructon of annex room for temporary brgy.health center, construction of drainage canal.
The various forms of requests were presented to the august body by SP members Florentino Lubang-PCL President, Daisy Gumale, Roberto Lagumbay-Chairman Committee on Health and Sanitation and Cesar Rey.It was unanimously approved by their colleagues.
The approvals of the requests were supported with the enactment of 4 resolutions nos.007-s.2010, 008-s.2010, 009-s.2010 and 010-s.2010.
All the abovementioned financial aids, it was learned, were charged against the socio-cultural activities/programs,/projects/various entities of the allocations of 4 SP members who represented their districts.
